Have you ever felt disappointed to see your favourite books and authors miss out on the big book awards? I know I have which is why in 2021 I launched the Best Book Forward Book Awards – an Instagram-based celebration where you, the bookworms, decide the winners.

Every year, readers eagerly nominate their favourite reads across genres with new categories having being added every year.  The excitement is contagious and every year has left me with a towering TBR as I have had to read all the shortlisted books (which I see as a huge bonus)!

The Best Book Forward Book Awards aren’t about industry accolades or prestige – they’re about the books that truly resonate with real readers and as I have read all the winning titles I can confirm that they are all fantastic reads.

Below you’ll find our past winners, the books that have stolen the hearts of fellow readers and if you haven’t read any of them I can guarantee you’re in for a real treat. 

Nominations for the 2024 awards will open in January 2025 with winners announced early February.  Every one is welcome to nominated vote so watch this space for more news.
